about

This piece began as a harp duo that I composed for Jacqueline Pollauf and my daughter Mila (her student). In this version, both of the written parts are performed by Jacqueline, with Mila adding her own improvisations extending from motives in the score. Mila also sings her own setting of a few lines from the W.B. Yeats poem "The Stolen Child", as heard at the beginning of the animated movie "Song of the Sea", about a selkie- a magical human/seal hybrid.
